You can simply add the following in your signature to make them appear (with semi-colons)... for the ones I know:

Code: Select all

:Indigo:
:Indy:
:Indigo2:
:Indigo2IMP:
:O2:
:O200:
:Onyx2:
:Octane:
:Octane2:
:Fuel:

Which will give:
:Indigo:
:Indy:
:Indigo2:
:Indigo2IMP:
:O2:
:O200:
:Onyx2:
:Octane:
:Octane2:
:Fuel:
:Onyx2: : oxygen / :A3504L: :A3504L: : neon (16xItanium2 1.6, L2 9MB) / :O200: :O200: : beryllium
:Fuel: : nitrogen / :Octane2: : carbon / :Octane: : fluorine
:O2: : hydrogen (R10k 195, 512Mo) / :O2: : sodium (R5k 180, 512Mo) / :O2: : R5k 180->200 motherboard and PM only
:Indigo2IMP: : helium (R10k 195, HighImpact, 160Mo) / :Indigo2IMP: : boron / :Indigo: : magnesium
:4D70G: 4D70GT : hydrogen, my very first one (now property of musée bolo and the foundation mémoires informatiques)

Sorry, I don't know the exhaustive list of available icons. Someone will probably help you soon...

Thank you. Just glad I wasn't asking a face-palm question!

The icons have been discussed in the "Nekochan Net" forum already... go back a few pages or use the search.
If I recall Pentium and a couple of others made the icons and nekonoko uploaded them into phpBB.
Maybe a generic SUN logo would do...

bluecode wrote:After your first comment I found those, thank you. The last update where the guy pentium was doing artwork was in 2008. I'll try to revive the thread and see if he or anyone else is still making icons.

Pentium is still around I saw him on IRC yesterday, but it is up to nekonoko what he adds as smilies.
You can add images in you signature... I saw someone with an image that looked like a SUN (420R?).

Good plan, it is an SGI and Japan oriented site.

Yeah but that didn't stop you from saying you could use the RAM and rails for your Sun v440 or mentioning your Sun gear in your .sig

When I get some money SGI gear is definitely on the list. At this point I am reading posts here trying to learn so I make the right choice. I am also glad to find a site where I don't have to go through 1,000 posts why Opteron is better than Xeon blah blah blah :P

I meant, a mainly SGI and Japan oriented site.

That 16717997 thread is a good one, but the easiest thing is to open the "full editor" and then click on the "view more smilies" link on the left side of the page. Click on one of the icons and the special text code to insert it in your sig will appear in the editing window.
Then? :IRIS3130: ... Now? :O3x02L: :A3504L:- :A3502L: :1600SW:+MLA :Fuel: :Octane2: :Octane: :Indigo2IMP: ... Other: DEC :BA213: :BA123: Sun, DG AViiON, NeXT :Cube:

Take a look at the attached (linked to pic at Photobucket):
