Rather than necro that thread, thought I would create another one. Well... you're in luck because IBM did post all of the benchmarks conducted by a third party (Albert-Battaglin Consulting Group) when the IntelliStation POWER page was still active (it was at least up in 2008 and 2009 since I remember looking at them then). This was also done for many powerpoint presentations and case studies.

Fortunately not only can the 285 be compared to the 275, but other systems from Hewlutt Pukeard and Sun Soldoutsystems.
