15 Paragons X/PS on ebay!

Check this out:

If I understood this correctly, they are selling 15 of them. Just found some info that one unit reaches 300 Gflops, so 15 units would be, ...wow, 4500 Gflops. Enough to get to top 500 supercomputers list :) Only OS would be maby a poblem. But they will ship to US only...

That is a nice set of machines... lemme see... need a spare warehouse to set it up properly with cooling, 4000 Euros per month electricity bill in standby, not bad! One day... one day...

What OS does this run?

It used to run OS called "OSF/1", but it later became what is today better known as "HP Tru64". It is based on BSD kernel and Tru64 came out from OSF/1 after Motif GUI and some minor modifications were made. Today, in 2004, OSF/1 is dead and I have no idea where to get it. I also do not know if this what is today known as "HP Tru64" could work with Paragon.
