I didn't see this until the next day and AFTER I discovered that myself.
So the first issue was the new SCSI cable was bad so I swapped that out, jumpered the hard drive for internal termination and it magically appeared again. Still couldn't get things to behave, though.
THEN I realized that it was atually no longer complaining about anything on the SCSI bus but in fact soemthing on the ATA bus, or rather what it could NOT see. SRM could see the CD drive but once Tru64 took over it vanished and it began freaking out. I ran out and grabbed a Toshiba SCSI drive and tried that. Blammo. We're up. Uplugged that and reconnected all the SCSI devices. We were FINALLY getting somewhere!
Okay, so I think I can handle it from here but one last question? Which version is more preferred? 4.0f or 5.1? The 4.0f installer was ready in a few minutes. With the 5.1 installer it's been 20 minutes and it's STILL not ready.
