All Sun SPARC_____-20s have the SX framebuffer option, but unless you have the VSIMM it isn't active. SPARCservers will have no VSIMMS and a removable plastic cover over the 13W3 port on the back. Put the one in and take the other off and you're good to go.

You have to look around. VSIMMS you'll probably have to shell out a bit for (under $20, usually, and the 4MB version generally works just fine for 24-bit color at the common/default Sun resolution of 1152x900), and the faster HperSPARC modules and SM81s/SM91s still command a bit of a premium, but DSIMMS up to 32MB and SM61-SM71s can probably be found very cheaply if you ask nicely.

Try a Sun forum or mailing list.

For what you'd spend getting those parts you're probably better off getting an Ultra 80 with 4x400MHz UltraSPARC-IIs and Creator3D or Elite3D.

Keep your eyes out for SM71s or SM151s (75MHz SuperSPARC and 150MHz HyperSPARC respectively), they're pretty fast and still affordable. 64MB DSIMMS won't be too bad, since some of the Ultra machines use the same memory. 8MB VSIMMS are rare and therefore expensive, 4MB should do just fine.

If either of those CPU modules has part number 501-2444 I will trade you the rest of the parts you want, for it.

Lots. If I don't have it, I'll find it.

But it has to be a 501-2444.

I don't want to be (too) rude, but could you please spell simple 4-letter words correctly? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
