Mplayer IRIX FFmpeg/libavcodec version

Unread postby mrj » Fri Dec 02, 2005 9:37 am

Hi, so first of all, I love the native -vo sgi option for mplayer. Congratulations and thanks guys for writing this.

Now, can we also use an updated version of the FFmpeg/libavcodec used in the 1.05 IRIX build (that's apparently the latest and greatest version) for IRIX. I'd love H264 support and loads of other fixes/additions under Mplayer.

Hope anyone has some input on this. Can we just check out the latest version from CVS and put that under our mplayer install? Very unlikely right...

If you want to compile it with gcc, you should be able to just do that. If you want to use MIPSPro, I imagine you better take a deep breath :)

So, got gcc 3.04 (i think) and everything's up and running for that. I'm not going to waste my time going with MIPSPRO! :)

Now to compile the latest 1.07 pre 2 source. Anyone know if the source for the 1.05 is available so we can merge that with 1.07?

I think the patched 1.0pre5 source is in the neko mplayer tardist.
