AV1+O2Cam and YouTube

Hey All,

I was sorting through my pile of O2 hardware the other day and wondered if unmodified MJPEG-compressed footage from the AV1+O2Cam was directly uploadable to YouTube.

Short answer: Yes, it is.

Longer answer:

- I used dmrecord rather than mediarecorder because it does less 'thinking' after recording footage and it can save footage in the AVI movie format which, in my very limited experience, allows for easier editing on a PeeCee.

- I stored the footage directly onto an NFS-mounted drive in my home server so I could do the uploads from a PeeCee/MacBook running a modern webbrowser.

- I'm sure there's some sort of CLI YouTube uploader thing someplace to upload the footage straight from the O2, but I didn't bother to look for it.

And here it is:

Needs Python and I haven't tested it because I'm not near the O2.

I can't even browse youtube on my O2. At least in Firefox. What is everyone else using? I figured that any videos I make would be sent to my main PC for uploading to youtube.

I'll check back for updates and results here. :)
