seeking for code fragments to access camera on o2/octane

Unread postby Brombear » Fri May 07, 2004 3:16 am

Hi,

I am looking for some very short code fragments to read the image as rgb into main memory and query if there's a new one to read.

Any help is surely appreciated

Regards

Matthias

The sgi zeye one. I mentioned octane also, because I think that the code to access it should be comparable to using the o2 one. SGI has some kind of framework to access video inputs. Tried to find something via google but welll .. no luck for me

If you have all the development bits'n'bobs installed, and the Digital Media Programmer's Examples documentation, you will find source to do this under /usr/share/src/dmedia or similar. Particularly try /usr/share/src/dmedia/video/vl/DMbuffer/vtom.c.

Otherwise check http://techpubs.sgi.com/library/tpl/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?coll=0650&db=bks&srch=&fname=/SGI_Developer/DMediaDev_PG/sgi_html/ch04.html...
