Not directly IRIX related, but still.

TrollTech announced its Qt 4 to be available later this year.

VERY exciting in my opinion. I think Qt is the most powerful and userfriendly API available. Can't wait to get my hands on that!
Shall I describe it to you? Or do you want me to get you a box?

...don't forget FLTK on the terrain of the C++/GUI Toolkits! ...FLTK is very stable, powerful, Open Sourced from Digital Domain Studios, and... -mmmhh friendly?
...Well; it is friendly as a crazy dog!

FLTK remebers to me my first American Dynamic 42' Willy's Jeep:

-strong

-powerful

-hard to kill

-ugly

hehheheeh!!! ...but enough good even to work every new day!

...Of course Qt is a really great API, not was passing through my mind trash to it!, you can see great examples on KDE, or even many commercial-wares that takes full benefit of their power and style.

Not my way by now; but high quality, not doubt about it!
