I hate that thing but occasionally it's useful : just sawr this from Colin Anderson in the newsgroups

===========

As you probably know, the current IRIX version of OpenOffice is
1.0.3.1... I was browsing the OpenOffice.org site and noticed that the
source for 1.1.1rc3 has been released and contains gobs of IRIX fixes:
http://download.openoffice.org/1.1.1rc3 ... .1rc3.html
And, the IRIX tinderbox is showing all green as of this evening.

===========

gentlemen, start your engines ?

Good to hear, one of the things i like about openoffice 1.1 is the ability to save your files as pdf's
They are all fixes submitted by SGI as well which is definetly a good thing, i had feared that once the 1.0.3 release was out that they were going to stop.

where's whiter ? This is totally anecdotal and probably meaningless but his super-optimized r12k bunzip2 is MUCH faster than the other one I was using. Freeware maybe ? Anyway, it'd be interesting to see a lickety-split Open Office. That'd make it about a third as fast as AmiPro 3.1 :-)

Is there a compile out yet? Either by sgi or oo.org?
