MIPSPro (IRIX IDO 5.0-5.1.1) Test Compilation

Unread postby Daneguy » Sat Mar 31, 2018 10:25 am

We're trying to track down the MIPSPro version used to compile Super Mario 64 (in an attempt to recreate the source). After testing a few versions we've narrowed it down to the versions used in IRIX IDO 5.0-5.1.1, but these have been rare to come across. If anyone has any of these versions and would be willing to compile a test file to help us confirm the version, you'd be amazing!

If you're willing to help, we just need these compiled with O0, O1, O2, and to get the .o files (or dissasembled objdump).

cc -c test.c -o test.o -O0

test.c

Code: Select all

extern void func_80279650(int, int);

void func_80279700(int var)
{
    int i;

    for(i = 0; i < 15; i++)
        func_80279650(var, i);
}

Thanks again guys!

Follow up: we were able to test 5.1 versions (no luck), but still trying to look for 5.0 versions which are likely to be buggy enough to match the behavior we've seen in the disassembly. Any leads to that would be fantastic!
