dladdr missing in dlfcn.h

Read the man page on dladdr and you find ...

Code:

     #include <dlfcn.h>
     int dladdr(void *address, Dl_info *dlip);

Yet include that the on 6.5.30 and it is still not defined contradicting the man page.
Is there a patch for that...? Or am I missing something obvious...?

perhaps ... did you see this part of the manpage?

Code:

     <dlfcn.h> does not contain a prototype for dladdr or definition of
     Dl_info.  The #include <dlfcn.h>  in the SYNOPSIS line is traditional,
     but contains no dladdr prototype and no IRIX library contains an
     implementation.  Write your own declaration based on the code below.
