Edit: This package is now in beta, so I've therefore renamed this thread to match what appears to be the standard. Any feedback appreciated as always...

It's a fantastic utility that can be used to replace "cat", and displays a progress bar on stderr. Any feedback, criticism etc. appreciated; I think it looks OK and I've installed the tardist on my Fuel and Octane2 without any issues.

Ah, I see it's been moved to /beta. Does that happen automatically, or is that the result of manual intervention ?

I believe it is manual process when the site owner happens to see a post mentioning the upload.
