IRIX64 bottlecap 6.5 11051732 IP28

Found a vintage audio repair shop right around the corner from my house who repaired my PSU for CA$120. The technician replaced the capacitors, cleaned it out, re-soldered some connections, and chemically cleaned the wiring for the drives. He mentioned that there was signs that the drive wiring was getting really hot, so I'll have to keep an eye on it.

With the PSU working, I could now boot the system and install IRIX 6.5.2m onto the new HHD. My external HP CD-ROM worked just fine, which I was surprised about since I've been having lots of problems with it on my Indy.

Just need to bump up the RAM to 394Mb, then I'll be happy with it.
Drowning in a flood of my own interests...and trying to get at least one thing 100% done.

Give that repairman an extra can of beer, sounds like he deserved it!

A 100 mbit card would be a nice addition, but having 146GB inside is very adequate.
