Thanks to FlasBurn (13W3 to VGA cable), Dexter1 (keyboard) and Ian (memory), my Indigo is now up and running using XS graphics and Irix 6.2. I've used a HP widescreen LCD monitor to display the output from the XS, and it looks really good. No modification of the 13W3 to VGA cable was required.
The disk installed contained a very basic 6.2 setup and was configured to run an Apache webserver (and nothing else). Probably better to install 6.5, I think?

True. I will wipe the case to remove the dust and take some pictures of the current setup.

With 192 MB of Memory you can go irix 6.5.22m on your Indigo giving you access to nekoware mips3 and Foetz' stuff. The R4000 rev 2.2 CPU does have some bugs, but apart from the openssh problem on 6.5.22 it should run fine.

Irix 6.2 is also fun to run and MIPSPro is supported up to 7.3.1.3m

Since exchanging disks is easy, I'll keep the 6.2 installation and try to add some stuff to that, and also install 6.5.22 on a fresh disk. I have two disk sleds and plenty of (SCA) disks.
