My V12 is P/N 013-3416-007 REV.A. It does not have the 3-pin fan header. How it looks instead can be seen in the attached image.

The picture is not 100% clear, but the 2-pin header is in about the center of the image, and the 6-pin header is up and a little to the right.

(Update: Yes, I've searched for the part number -- it is appearing listed among the Fuel parts, so it's the Fuel one without the fan header.)

I've forgotten about the "pics or it didn't happen" rule :) Here are some pictures of the system taken after I've replaced all the PCI cards I intended (so these pictures do match the hinv I posted).

Regarding fan control, found an external fan controller with no audio, USB and other unnecessary items:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811992006

It's not available from this particular page, but there are sellers who have it in stock -- this one is just good because of the pictures.

Behind the disks, there is another fan hiding, Papst Multifan 8312/2H, 3-wire as well. I am going to assume it is similar to the other 3 from the same manufacturer and similar model #, so won't check the specs.

Yes, it's the card listed on http://www.nekochan.net/wiki/Known_work ... atabase%29 (search for "9210286") in the page.

That is my understanding of it, yes. (A 'fan connector' though, not a 'fan' itself).

While there aren't any additional USB examples, the original forum thread does include a few other IRIX-friendly PCI boards.

If you are willing to trade in your 4x800 I can give you a good deal on the quad 1Ghz. :D

The plastics are mint on that system, you are very fortunate!
If the thing isn't on fire it's a software problem.

Nice Tezro, very well appointed. Looks to be in great shape too.

Tezro is not for me, but I'm glad other people love and cherish them.

Continuing with documenting the fans in a Tezro:

The PSU fan is Delta Electronics AFB0812SH-F00 80x80x25mm

Dimensions: 80 x 80 x 25mm
Power: 12V DC (7.0 to 13.8 ) 0.51 Amp
Speed: 4000 RPM
Max Air Flow: 46.62 CFM
Noise Level: 40 dB-A
3-pin TAC connector

The wiring on that fan is Blue-Black-Red, and is not compatible with a typical PC 3-pin.
To work with a PC, the wiring needs to be changed to Black-Red-Blue.

When the fan is powered up, it clearly presents itself as a large contributor to Tezro's overall noise level.

In terms of replacement, it appears only the following 3 fan models have comparable CFM while being quieter than the original 40 dB:

Papst 8412 N/2GH 80mm, 3600 RPM, 46.5 CFM, 37 dB
Papst 8412 N/2G 80mm, 3100 RPM, 40.61 CFM, 32 dB
Enermax UC-8AEBS 80mm, 2800 RPM, 44.21 CFM, 32 dB

So, I went with Enermax.
