Actually I have a lot of things to fix to get this machine up and running properly and yes my office is always such a mess.

The one on the right of the photo is my 2 x 700 MHz 8Gb RAM DCD V12

Congrats, it doesn't get much better than this (in the MIPS/IRIX realm at least)

It looks like a Discreet spec system with the extra serial, dual FC, ethernet, RAD etc boards, but I don't see the DM3 anywhere?

Do you plan to keep both (what's better than a Tezro? -- two of them), or will you get rid of the dual 700 again?

btw,

it occurred to me that these are the three extra fans that the 1GHz node board has.

Thanks. I'd like to upgrade the RAM, it would be nice if it was all premium RAM and maxed out to 8Gb.

I don't mean to sound greedy, but I intend to keep both: the one on the right, the dual 700, has a Wacom tablet, Smoke, Flame, Shake and maya and the stones, VBOB, and Lucid are connected to the dual 700. The quad 1 Ghz I'd like to put MIPS Pro, ProDev workshop, gcc, nekoware and build stuff on it. Oh and I am hoping they will breed. ;)

I should take a photo inside at the fans but I haven't had a chance to investigate too much, you can't imagine how banged up the case is, the shroud around the drives and L1 display is missing, the side panel is not sitting quite right and I had to re assemble the front panel and click the cube logo back into place. Never take any of that apart, there is no need and its a pain to put back together.

I have a few things to do on it to get it up to par.

Congrats! With all you've done to help the larger community of SGI fans, I guess I'll learn to accept it... ;)

Awww shucks, thanks. None this would be possible without nekonoko to begin with, and all the help I've received from members like you over the years.

Thanks. I'd like to upgrade the RAM, it would be nice if it was all premium RAM and maxed out to 8Gb.

Well, that can be solved. I've got a few to spare, to say at least...

I would rather not say, but there have been a couple imported into Australia from auction sites recently. There is one with a German SGI keyboard in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and I've seen others on fleabay USA and other sites.

As of time of writing there are 6 Tezros (the "smoke2008" item is 2 available) on fleabay USA.. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... Categories
and another Tezro in the netherlands.. http://www.ebay.de/itm/SGI-Tezro-Dual-1 ... 5ae3af8ee5

I have nothing to do with any of the sellers.

This one has 6 Gb RAM now, watching the postal tracking for the other 2Gb as it is coming. It has Pro Dev workshop, MIPSpro, gcc 4.3, deskstops, icons, etc, tweaked and configured... Just need to find the time to develop on it.
