 Post subject: Onyx4 Ultimate Vision

For those interested, an Onyx4 Ultimate Vision system config (Basically a Origin 350 chassis with a PCI USB card for keyboard & mouse, plus another 2U chassis with PCI ATI graphics cards installed). :

It's a 4 CPU system capable of driving 4 DVI outputs in 4U of space. I'm not sure about adding a 2nd nodeboard to the 2nd chassis at this point, not investigated.

Interestingly, the graphics brick shows up in l1cmd cfg as a "001v04" - not quite a V-brick, but almost.....

Kinda-sorta. It's the fastest generational base for an IRIX graphics-workstation (O350/O3000), but the UltimateVision graphics never seem to have realized their potential, so an Onyx350 (same computer base) with InfiniteReality4 graphics is probably the fastest, that is unless you want to move up to Onyx3900, probably the absolute best (Cx bricks, each having 16 processors)
