After a couple of weeks regretting that I couldn't go for Pontus Onyx2 rack deal, I had to finish my deskside setup to feel better.
I've had it for a while, but I thought there was room for improvement. Thank you tesla for the last missing bit.

There is also a FORE PCA-200E ATM adapter in the PCI box. It doesn't show up in the hinv. I guess it's because I don't have the drivers for it. I don't
have anything to connect it to anyway.
I do however have a Clariion FC Raid connected to this, but I have some problems getting it to run properly again, after I made some reconfiguration.

Pictures will be added as soon as I have removed some of the other computerstuff blocking it :-)

A little late but....

Nice system. I'm still hunting for a real Onyx2 DS and/or a gfx box for one of my O2k racks. Really crappy that we couldn't rescue the Onyx2 racks back then. :(

No need to thank me for the part. I'm just as pleased with the part I got from you (+ the O200). :)

/Matt

The Desk sides are pretty nice systems. At least you can fit them under a desk or pop em up on
a 're-enforced, floating shelf' Something that I plan to do in the near future. This will keep the systems
off the ground and dust free ^^

However. I still want to get my hands on high end Origin rack and dual IR4 pipes. IRIX might be dated,
but given its age, its still extremely capable.

And I still have at least one Onyx2 Deskside to sell which is at least on the right continent.

Well, parts of it has found it's way to my basement by help of Pontus :-). We met on a live auction where we also swapped some SGI stuff.
A graphics module with a IR2 pipe that should be installed in one of my racks.
I also got the face plate for the graphics module but the compute module says Origin2400 so the colors won't be correct.

If you don't turn up an Onyx2 compute module fascia on your side of the world, I have one that no longer has a purpose.
