Nice one! I'm sure even a low spec dual 800 R16K seems magnificently fast compared to a dual 400 / 600 octane.

Concur with the prevailing sentiment, I wouldn't call 2x800 low spec by any means! :)

Temporarily lost at sea...
Plan:
World domination! Or something...

I suppose yes, but when you have another Tezro with a higher spec called 'the higher spec machine' it leaves little movement for the other not being called 'the lower spec machine'

I am hoping ultimately to have a Tezro someday. Maybe a Fuel, maybe an Iris Indigo. Then I would have all the Irix machines for a nice SGI collection.

I would even be happy with the "low" spec you have. ;)

We had two Tezro Flame setups at Digital Domain back in 2008-2012 but I never got to really use them before they disappeared to the trash bin because the moving people didn't get the memo about keeping them for Flame license transfer to HP workstations. Sigh.

Next weekend chap.

I'll be bringing back two, mine and another that will be going to a museum. I'll be putting together the best looking one (skins etc) but ensuring it has a low spec, possibly then I will be able to fix the other one.

So I will end up with three Tezros in the end but one may remain broken until the required parts come along. I'm certainly not going out my way to fix it yet.

Thats good to hear!

How many do you intend using in the end? (You deserve it, as you're one of the few people around here who actually puts their machines to proper use.)

The nice thing is that once you have a good chassis, you can upgrade it as required later on. (Theres no rush, wait for an opportunity to present itself, but getting the chassis in the first place is the key move, due to their size, weight and availability.)

The Christian Godhead as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These creeds settled basic issues such as the Trinity and deity of Christ. The number three has always been a good number to handle the practice of farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products. You can divide the year by three rotating sessions since the success in obtaining the required output of food from agriculture depends on soil fertility.

The number three is perfect! And it's also a prime number. So owning three Tezros looks actually fine. In fact, even the personal free time and money are usually limited resources, especially for those who have a real talent and skill to use one machine for something. But luckily we also have those whose talent consists in stacking a lot of stuff.

Thus three, three thousand three hundred and thirty-three, it makes no difference. Three million three hundred thirty-three. With a third on the dead carpet for spare parts.
Pointless reminders of the human ego:
  • Some people are just into stacking rocks.
  • But, everyone scratches their own itch.
  • That's not right. That's not even wrong.

uunix has wanted a Tezro for a long time and he was lucky enough to get a great deal on his Tezro's and considering that he has had use for three Octane2's in the past, he can replace them with the three Tezro's. :D

That's a pretty good upgrade, as Tezro's are notably faster than Octane2's.

I think you will find Carlos, that Religion is not allowed in this forum. Please edit, refrain from religion.

But lets talk about the above statement, what are you actually trying to say? This is the second time you have posted a very similar post, you deleted the first, but obviously feel you cannot let this go.

What is this stacking stuff you refer to? Networking, enabling computers to work together? Or just plain putting one on top of the other?

It makes no sense.

A bit of humor on your "talent".

I am not Carlos, I don't know whom you are talking about, but I know that quoting people's name may be punished, and I I had to call the mod because you were trying to ruin my request for hardware in the bazaar area. Yet another talent of yours, and obviously feel you cannot let this go. Thus, go on, man, you need to show you are a "valued-user", get the forth Terzo, and show us more talent.
