how 'su' checks for privileges?

Unread postby gcb » Wed Apr 28, 2004 11:13 pm

I used to su to root without any problem, but after --for nfs-convenience-- i changed my user id, su just tells me that i have 'insuficiente privileges' and exits.

I already runned grep in /etc looking for my old uid, but found nothing.

the man page also don't tells nothing.

any hints where i should look for?
