Gimp V.1.2 Helpful Info

Unread postby JAD692003 » Fri Mar 14, 2003 2:19 pm

Hello all, I found this very helpful Site for GIMP, Thought i would share it.
http://www.easysw.com/~mike/gimp/
It works, I downloaded the 3 files, ungzip/tar them,
Ran ./gimp.install
Ran ./glib.install
Ran ./gtk.install
Went to the /usr/bin/gimp, Ran gimp, and it worked. This guy at this site made it very easy to get GIMP to work..

To make access to The GIMP easier for folks that don't want to or can't compile the source distribution, I've made binary distributions of The GIMP available for IRIX 6.5; you must download all three of the files to install it:

* GLIB 1.2.8 (214kB) - Download | Alternate
* GTK 1.2.8 (2.0MB) - Download | Alternate
* GIMP 1.2.0 (5.2MB) - Download | Alternate

I was commenting on the part wher it looked like you had a download and an alternate download link from. It looked like you were trying to link to the actual files there.
