I have it installed but must admit have never really used it. Every time I have tried, the dark and confusing interface starts to annoy me and will load Realsoft 3D instead. Much better in every way that counts.

I have already recommended Metasequoia for modelling and will recommend it again.

It is just that that bothers and let frustrated, but there is also the shade 3d is a great software, maybe I try Iclone 7, before I have an obligation to try SGI in CGI, this can really work, it was used in 2009 and this has been a long time , it does not cost to test all the means until you arrive at one, very likely to stay with Iclone 7!,

uunix, Or no, but well that SGI was quite used if we look at the other side, many TV series and gaming companies like Dimps, Konami and even Sony with their Playstation 2! The most amazing is that all the workflow was done in SoftImage 3D and Maya 6.5, being that SoftImage 3D was animation, I'll see SGI first and then Iclone 7, probably Iclone 7 is what I will be, I am in doubt.

I'm usually a "sit in the corner with a smoke and coffee, watching the action at a distance" sort. I try and be nice to everybody, ### REDACTED FOR ETIQUETTE ###. And don't PM me again with stupidity.

SGIs are HOBBY machines. I like making 3D stuff on them as a HOBBY. SoftImage is a great package for HOBBY graphics on a HOBBY SGI machine. See where I'm going with this. Even a 4 year old with Down Syndrome wouldn't try the mental gymnastics you're trying to do to convince yourself that it's still 1996. If that's the case, then you're going to shit bricks when you discover Alexa, iPhones and 4K video (that HOBBY SGIs won't render to).

So dude, just....stop. You're irritating everyone. Including me, and that's a hard bar to reach. >:(

If everyone had just sat back and had a smoke and a good cup of espresso based Java, it would never have come to this!

I know :( I'm sorry. But he was PMing me constantly asking these stupid questions. It's annoying and invasive >:( When I happily think it's one of y'all.

Patience has it's limits. It's quite clear those limits have been exceeded by far several times here. Writing in Engrish is almost always okay, asking stupid questions is mostly ok too, but being stubborn as a mule while asking stupid questions, c'mon, you're wanting to be branded a repeat offender.

Everyone told this guy, initally politely, very reasonable facts. He simply ignored those with an obstination that is either trolling, or intellectual dullness. I don't even know why I'm still replying. Probably to vent, ya know, internet is serious business and people get worked up over it :lol: :lol:

I detected cyclic redundancy in this argument very early on! (so did UUNIX)

Once I felt that I'd given him a satisfactory answer, silence was the best answer thereafter. :D (You can't argue with silence)

You're all to blame for keeping this going up to the point of it eventually becoming nasty. :!: (You were all willingly suckered into this)

After all, a fire requires fuel to keep on burning.

Can't say you're wrong, Irinikus ;)

To be honest, it's a bit sad that this thread has descended to this state of things. Oh well. I'll try to behave better, should there be a next time.

Most mistake, never left the comments and the side of all forgotten, just said that SGI has been used for several years in CGI including by ILM and MainFrame Entertainment (Rainmaker) up to 2006 in series of TV, movies and games, I recognize the current hardware despite too many bugs , just said I would try on SGI, I responded by giving all sides and comments themselves and nothing else besides, has 100 comments here, impossible not to notice them, quite misapprehension.

int x=convert.ToInt32("GetAwayWithFactor");
for(int i=0; i<x;i++)
