different view of the well known storry

Unread postby cybercow » Fri Dec 19, 2008 4:31 pm

seems this guy has a lot of knwoledge, alias, wavefront, softimage, sgi and all around, including various "games" and "players". it`s interesting how history sometimes can fool with us and our believes, because we learned it somewhere but not been a part of it.

it`s worth watching and even more listening !

The amount of whining this guy does, must be unheard of. Oh my God he whines a lot. Damn, he really doesn't like Alias/power animator. Funny, I had some friends back then who utterly loved that program, it was a blast to model in apparently, and if you where up to it, do some really advance animations in it. But for the more advance simulation/animations you went with SideFX Houdini anyway.

But I think I stick with Softimage3D for the animation thing myself, and so did the most in the industry at the time. Model in Alias/power animator, animate in Softimage3D for the hand-animation and leave the advance stuff for Houdini.
