You're saying you can't login to the machine using any of the accounts? That's an easy problem to solve if you have bootable IRIX installation media. If not you need a login page exploit. What version of Irix?

It wasn't an NIS account you created by any chance was it?

I have done the root reset. So I can login as root and change all others account's password.

But I am going to be lazy, so I created an account without password, which was okay when I created.

But once come back to login, then can not use that account.

The same story happened on the root. I removed the password from the passwd but I have to add a password by passwd in order to be login.

There are a couple of parameters regarding passwords that get configured in the /etc/default/login file. Details are in the man page for the login command.
