Fuel hangs at boot

Unread postby MrWeedster » Thu Dec 29, 2016 1:52 am

Hi.

After getting the franken fuel to work, i now have the problem that it wont boot.
After loading the sash over network with bootp, i am stuck at the screen in the pic.

I set "L1 PROM request debugging is on"
I set "console ioc4" in the prom console.

But i dont have meaningful output on the console.

How can i get to the source of the error?

There is no ioc4 on Fuel. You need to set console to ioc3.

Ok, even with ioc3 i dont have meaningful output on the console.

What im curious about is that i dont have PROM boot output:

001a01-L1>pwr u
001a01-L1>
entering console mode 001a01 console, <CTRL_T> to escape to L1
INFO: console subchannel changed: 001a01 CPU0
Starting PROM Boot process

There it stops, no further output.
On my other fuel i have massive messages showing up there.
How can i enable this?

I had a similar issue that turned out to be ram. There were no ram errors during boot but the system would hang. I tried the ram in another fuel and it works fine. Putting it back in the trouble system caused the same hang.
If the thing isn't on fire it's a software problem.
