Hi,

I have a SGI O2 that a friend donated to me. It had IRIX 6.5 on it, but a few days ago I changed its hard drive, and installed OpenBSD/sgi on the new one.
Everything works perfectly as expected.

The only problem that is happening is that the machine now is powering on automatically everyday at midnight since I installed OpenBSD.
Anyone knows why this happens? Is there any "bios-like" thingy where this is defined?
Any idea on what it could be?

go to prom monitor... option 5 at bootup.

type resetenv to put everything to normal (printenv to see what is there)

Hi,

Even if printenv doesn't show anything related to "waking up" will resetenv do anything to fix this "issue" ?
(I just don't want to lose the OpenBSD boot configuration in vain)

the wakeup is controlled by the calendar clock chip (DS1687). This is a separate function from the NVRAM storage and the presence of this wakeup event is not programmable from the PROM Monitor. You can use the Irix wakeupat(1M) command to change it.
