As far as ivelegacy, he has proven to me to be quite trustworthy a trading partner. Yeah, his english needs some work, and his sarcasm is hard to follow, but to kick him off for assuming him to be dishonest is a bit over the top.

I don't know why he was kicked out exactly. I think it was an internal dispute with someone. They clearly didn't like him, because they had to drive it home by applying a useless IP ban, on top of the account one too.

Huh? What the heck is all this drama about?

No idea what the heck happened in the past day or two. All I know is that an email message from ive/Carlo made me realize that phpBB exposes my profile email address since I had enabled the "let members send me email" option. So at least that's fixed now...

In contrast to many other forums, people very rarely get banned from Nekochan. The moderators try hard to resolve issues directly with all parties involved before taking the step of banning someone. Unfortunately, in this case, no satisfactory resolution was found.

The person in question violated forum policies on multiple occasions and repeatedly ignored some very basic, very important principles of netiquette when engaging with several users. The person received several warnings from the moderators and eventually was banned from the forum. Subsequently, the individual created a new user account and continued the objectionable behavior under a new name. This was not a single individual's decision; it was a group decision. People do not get banned from Nekochan because of simple "internal disputes" or because a moderator doesn't "like" someone.

I'd also like to add that the moderators group is fairly evenly distributed between North America and Europe, and many (if not all) of us have significant international experience in our professional lives. We really do try to consider things like language skills and cultural differences when we engage as moderators. We may not be perfect, but we take our responsibilities seriously as moderators to be thoughtful and fair.

Ivelegacy. He told me about it from regions beyond.

Well, although his membership is gone, his spirit will always remain...

Oh... Why am I not surprised to hear who it is? I always wonder about these guys that seem to have super-human amounts of time and drive to post in such a short period of time they are members.

Who am I to talk though; I'm still #9 on the all time post list. :-) hehe!

Good heavens you all thrive on drama.

I was expecting Skywriter to unhinge from his onset of senility before this day ever came.

Quite OT now - while I'd missed the later parts, I'd enjoyed the first two totally :-)
Everyone loves a lover. Romeo loves Juliet. Therefore, Trump loves Putin.
