Picked up a NetBurner Coldfire development kit - 250MHz with 32MB on-board flash memory, 64MB DDR2 RAM, RS-232, Ethernet, and SDHC connections plus GPIO pins. Looking forward to playing around with this

do you use gcc-m68k patched for Coldfire? or CodeWarrior?

Actually I'm probably going to use vbcc as it's lightweight, no-nonsense, almost completely C99-compliant, and is supposed to generate quite good code. Though I do need to figure out how to package arbitrary executables created with something other than the NetBurner development kit for transfer to the device (its boot ROM takes an image compressed with an algorithm they don't name as such - I think it might be LZO, based on poking around the executables with the toolkit, but I need to do a little further research.)

Just put in for a nice, recently-serviced SCI Prophet-600 (with flight case.) I owned one of these previously and foolishly traded it away rather than get it properly fixed (those membrane panels are absolute bastards - completely impossible to repair, and difficult and expensive to source replacements for.) I won't be making that mistake again
