The Testarossa is sexy. Should record that exhaust note and rev up.

A friend of mine found and bought me a PSR-36. He's delivering it to me next week. Very excited.

Oh sweet :) I briefly thought it shared the kickass demo tune of the PSR-48 (my aunt and uncle used to have that one, and I obsessed over it for years afterward until I finally tracked it down and picked one of my own up,) but it turns out that's the PSR-38 I was thinking of. But on the other hand, you get those fun little editing sliders :D

Now you just need to grab yourself an FB-01 or something for further FM adventures!

I'm going to eventually also get a DX7. I already have an MT-32 and also plan to get a PSS-570 to circuit bend. I also like the MK-100 but that'll be an eventuality

Nice :) With the DX7, be sure to look into it a bit and decide which model you want - the DX7-II is a better performance instrument since it has more patch memory, can store controller settings per-voice, and can split/layer two different sounds, but the original model is no slouch itself (both of them have about the nicest keybed I've ever encountered on a synthesizer) and I just love love love the slightly grittier, warmer tone on it.

Anyway, as for me, I went out and picked up a 1997 Epiphone Les Paul:

Sure, it's not a hand-built work of art like the Gibson version, but it's a damn fine instrument - sounds great and is just playable as hell - I could barely tear myself away from it to get ready for bed :) Getting it for a fraction of the list price with some upgrades by the previous owners didn't hurt either :D

Got a pair of decent Dell UltraSharp monitors today for $8 each, a 2005FPW and a 1707FPc. Hoping maybe one of them supports sync on green...

It will be exciting to finally fire up the Indigo2 for the first time once the rest of the parts arrive, that's for sure. And I have monitor options for that first test!

Got myself a Wacom Intuos2. A big one, XD-1212-R, with accessories like a 4D mouse and pen. All of that for the lovely low price of 25 bucks.

Then I got tired of toying with the Wacom control panel and decided to load Flame on my Octane2 to see some real action. That *completely* FUBAR-ed the IRIX setup. Backups? We need no stinkin' backups. I guess I'm going to have to re-install from scratch.

1 step forwards, 2 steps back :(

To accentuate the special identity of the IRIS 4D/70, Silicon Graphics' designers selected a new color palette. The machine's coating blends dark grey, raspberry and beige colors into a pleasing harmony. (IRIS 4D/70 Superworkstation Technical Report)

Time to upgrade from X-Plane 8.

Tale:
I got a call from DHL before they cleared customs (it was shipped from the US) asking me to hand in a declaration saying I'm not going to use "this product for terrorist purposes".
They asked me what it was for. I said it is a computer game. And they asked me why a game in 6 CDs.

No f**** kidding.

It was 20 USD + 20 USD shipping. Since it got stuck in customs I had to pay more 20 USD import duties and ~20 USD for "handling".

Just picked up this PSS-470 for $25. I already owned the adapter it needs so that wasn't factored into the price. It is gross, however.

I've wanted one because of the amount of control they provide with making new instruments with the same chipset from the SB/Adlib

I saw Logan today. Awesome flick. I've been busy with work so my duties for FoxBSD have fallen by the wayside but with how much difficulty the base is offering for LibreSSL I may have to postpone full integration for the time being
