Thanks to Mopar5150 my good friend and awesome SGI seller I am now in possession of an even better Tezro than I had years ago. 4x700MHz, 8GB RAM w/ V12 (no DCD, don't really need it tbh)
Its absolutely beautiful and massive. I'm never going to sell this. Although I may move it onto something like a table nearby because it is absolutely devouring an entire quarter of my desk alone.
Very nice, welcome back to the Tezro owners club.

Have you thought of a name for her yet?

Murasaki, from Senran Kagura. It's perfect because Murasaki means violet in Japanese, and Murasaki in the game Senran Kagura has:
The biggest bust size of all the characters
And she is among the strongest. Fitting, for the Tezro, in more ways than one.

Very cool, it's awesome to see that you attach deep meaning to the names you give to your machines.

Have you run her up, and what do you think of her performance vs your other SGI's?

Re: your latest purchase
I've just begun setup of it - but my Octanes are down at the moment, and Kanna and Tohru can't currently run without tripping my office's circuit breaker. I'm waiting until I have the money to pay the electrician to run in a 20 or 25A capable circuit with BX wiring.
The Indys run, but there's simply no contest. They get DESTROYED.

Re: your latest purchase

I dunno if anyone here likes vintage stereo equipment, but I got this thing a few days ago for the princely sum of $6.50 from a thrift store. And much to my surprise, it actually works! Plug is hilariously short and coming apart but it works! It's a Panasonic RS-281S from the early 1970s.

Finally found a black radioSHARK with the improved radio receiver chip. Installed it in the attic and wired it to the Mac controlling the house FM transmitter with a freaking long USB extension cable. Much better AM reception now.

Sweet Tezro! That's the last workstation I'd like to add to my collection but prices haven't yet come down like Octanes or O2s. Someday...

Re: your latest purchase
I got mine at a bargain price. $1100 USD being the going rate for a good spec Tezro puts it out of the reach of most hobbyists.

Re: your latest purchase
My latest purchase is a boring one really - a new PC at long last to replace my ageing old system (from 2009 originally).
Specs are an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X, 16GB RAM, GeForce 1070 Ti, 1TB M2 SSD, and four 3TB rust spinners for data storage. All running Windows 7 (given that Windows 10 is still such a mess). Been building it up for several weeks actually, but finally finished transferring data and retiring my old PC last week.
What with the NUC I bought a few months ago to replace my old Mac Mini, it's been a busy few months of computer replacements.
Oh and as a final purchase, a new battery for my trusty old Lenovo X201 (given that the retro Thinkpad was such a colossal bust in the end).

Sharp Netwalker PC-Z1 - something like this: http://www.pulster.de/info/pdas/netwalker/netwalker-faq.htm. A black one. It is from the eBay. It is an ARM-based mininotebook with a full Ubuntu (9.04, I think). Too bad that it's so old...
And the Octane, of course: http://forums.nekochan.net/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16732589.

Re: your latest purchase
Not really a purchase, but my father passed me on his CINE 8 Projector. I have been picking up some films, projectors and bits and pieces of late for all old types of video format.

Some of us can't even afford a Fuel, and that's basically 1/4 of a Tezro!

Re: your latest purchase
The Fuel is extremely unreliable by comparison. Any fuels I pick up in the future will be parted out.
I picked up an Amiga 3000 using my Christmas bonus (I'm going to try and see if I can get Amix installed so I can relive my days of masochism as a young Unix boy) and a Challenge M Vault (I have no idea what it its but I know it has an I2 frame.
