You guys are boring with your power supply this and that. I bought myself a _real_ computer! ;)

Disassembled the keyboard and cleaned up the key matrix, and everything works great. Got the Commodore printer and tractor feed, too.

Thanks recondas, but I already ordered the PowerAll for $100 less - oops. But it's a good tip, I'll file that away. Doesn't look like they include a connector suitable for the X1 Carbon, but that's hardly their fault - I'm sure something can be sorted out. Looks like a good package overall.

(Well maybe not technically "purchased" yet, but pledged in the crowdfunding campaign for manufacturing it. Planned delivery May 2017.)
It's an open source power supply with 2 channels (https://www.crowdsupply.com/envox/eez-h24005).

Wow, that's very cool. Is that the same Electrohome Corp. that makes video projectors?

My latest: a Mac Quadra 950 with Daystar cache card, and a set of National Instruments cards for GPIB and stepper motor control.

Oh that is rad, pentium.

Anyway, I picked up a Gibson/Baldwin Epoch on the cheap at the thrift store yesterday. It ain't nohow a Les Paul, but it's still got some of that deep, resonant tone :) Just need to get a fresh set of strings, as one came broken and another snapped while I was tuning it...

At this rate I'm gonna have to get a proper guitar amp...!

I picked up a couple more Proteus water sensors. You can run them over Wi-Fi, but I got the wired version. They'll E-mail you if the water sensor trips or the light sensor is out of whack, or you can add chemical or temperature sensors to them, and they're powered over USB. Fully self-contained. I have one on my inside water heater (the central server gets the E-mail and turns it into a text message to me) and I'm adding one to the washing machine.

They also have a motion sensor. Hmmmmm.

Today got two FireWire hubs. They work much better than the stupid PCIe FW/USB cards this G5 keeps burning out.

I recently acquired a relabeled Datamaxx / PSION II handheld in original case, and a PSION II user's guide/book. And two original Apple Newton H1000's, one working and one not, with a period Apple (p?)leather folio.

I also received one of those 101Hero sub-$100 3D printers through Indiegogo. Having difficulty getting the thing positioned/calibrated, in my first session the extruder keeps scraping up whatever it just laid down. Have to clear more worktable space so I can double check that the assembly is square, use better PLA stock that I ordered, and follow some other tips from the community.

AEA R92 and Rode NTR

And some various inexpensive mics (not counting the NTR in the bottom right, which is expensive :))

Do you like that snowball? I tried one years ago for some basic voiceover stuff I had to do, but there was a high pitched coil-whine-like sound in everything that came out of it, so I exchanged it for a scarlett 2i2 and dug out some old shure 57's out of my drumstuff box.
