When it comes to wikipedia, the first question that comes to my mind is, does anyone besides me think that Sue Gardner is kind of hot?

Looks more like a game of 'whack-a-mole' to me -- no matter how much you whack, the moles simply pop up some other place. With this law in place, the content industry can simply put the burden of whacking on a third party. Tim O'Reilly wrote a couple of good pieces on the subject, like this one.

I do have an opinion about all of this, but that would firmly cross the 'no politics' boundary

It was interesting to see (at work) how many times a day we use Wikipedia. Me too.
It made me happy I've already donated money to Wikipedia.
