well the question sounded a lot like "why is there air"? which everyone knows is "to blow up volley balls"! *

so, "why is there pop music"? which of course is, "to fill empty heads"

when you know "why is there pop music", you know "what is pop music"?, filler.

It's not a tracking studio. However, the vocal booth is also useful to mic anything small than a piano. I can also run audio out to the other room in the finished basement that is pretty big.

I played in a New Wave band during the era, did you?

No but I like new wave, and I had a drum coach who was a big fan of 80s music. I also like pop music. Both that crap they play on the radio nowadays* and real Pop Musik. And Lady Gaga. :D

*What, muse isn't pop music? Haven't *not* heard their music at a drumline show in at least 3 years... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRdQ8ybKoOI

...and you only shared a photo thumb on the "Let's be fair" thread? C'mon, sky. Give up the pics from when you were in the band! Were you more DEVO or the Cure? :D

I played a lot of Vice City. Never cared much for any GTA after that.

You know that thumb pic is a remarkably lifelike representation of me at work :-).

I wish I had pictures, but it would merely be yet another group of skinny kids with tight jeans playing too loud in a small room. Some venues were pretty cool like 'the channel' in boston. Nice big popular club. Too many small places we had to lug our own sound system though.

I did save a promotional poster, and a pen.

Fun fact: we had the name The REMS before R.E.M. Became popular. Too bad we had to change our name... By then the fun was over, and we reformed another band that only played out once, then the lead singer went country western, bought a Pedal steel and I left in disgust. True story! Heh.
