Re: FS: O2 R12K 400 $550

The digital video option is why I asked.

I'm trying to find out but don't know what the current market value is.

I have two O2s and it may make more sense for me to just buy a PC video card and do my video editing that way.

Are you looking at splitting the DVO off on the sale?

hamei asks
Hmm. How does a Canadian know about Dixie, anyway ?

Must be the roots the South had when the conspiracy to assassinate Lincoln hid in Canada.

But I could be wrong...

And there's nothing wrong with being old school. Count me in almost every category, then. Old school, loser, casual, gamer, and whatever category you want to lump in PC gamers into. I care only about the games. Truth be told, I primarily use my Xbox for DVDs. I guess I'm a double lamer for that, tho...

Intel-OUTSIDE states: i'm an electronics engineer in the consumer repair industry and i see this stuff all the time. Well, that and a quarter will buy us both a coffee. It means nothing. Not only does it mean nothing but it's entirely anecdotal. The fact you are an "electronics engineer" means nothi...

Intel-OUTSIDE states: xbox is an obsolete pc made from junk, if you get one you can bank on needing to replace the dvd and maybe the psu because they are crap, and the harddrive because it's small. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That's frickin' hilarious. What fanboi mag have you been subscribing to? Once aga...

Trip to see them? Surely you jest.

I rarely get time to take a trip to the store anymore, it seems. I never know how late I'll work until it's already late and get only small amounts of time off anymore.

One of these days, though...

gamerKarl states: yah, ATX is cursed with crappy airflow design. I'm looking forward to BTX I wouldn't say that ATX is "cursed" with crappy airflow design. There is plenty of design into it. It's the idiots who don't follow the design that screw it up. I remember seeing an Antec BTX case over 4 year...

I recall seeing this (or something really similar to it) on the History Channel a few months ago.

I wished I remembered more about it or recorded it or something.

Holy CRIPES!

That's an awful lot of Argentinians running about in Seattle.

Good luck to all of them in their endeavors.

I output from an Xbox to my O2 and then out to a video production monitor a few years ago.

Not a problem doing that at all.

Don't feel too bad, hamei. He's running RAID 0 and likely as his main storage device. He'll be feeling the pain when it all comes crashing down on him. And there's always the hope that he's running it on a VIA chipset. Those VIA chipsets burn houses down and molester small tortoises with their snap-...

Itaniums? sgi to use Dorado line to boost workstations?

Found this while browsing this morning.

I found this part most interesting...
Better yet, Dorado is the first in a long line of workstations. The aging IRIX on MIPS line has a successor at last, and you can even run the old binaries if you don't mind a speed hit.

Any thoughts on this?

Newtek's pretty good that way. I had both PC/Mac versions and had lost (had stolen) the PC dongle and software along 2 moves across country. I called up Newtek, they asked did I even want the Mac version and basically I traded my Mac dongle for the PC dongle. And finally after much searching found t...

GI Joe states: however you should never ever try to mix frames rendered on different architectures within the same sequence. To elaborate a bit more. You should not use different architectures (even AMD vs Intel) to render frames on the same sequence. The reason is that each CPU does its calculation...
