Re: Dialog box split between dual monitor

You guys are a regular education! Thanks for the info I'll give it a try as soon as I get to the homestead. The lone Octane we still have here at work doesn't have Illustrator installed...

I think after IRIX 6.5.22 you have to use the Adobe-provided DPS from the Illustrator CD.

Re: Dialog box split between dual monitor

I suspect the OP uses a Dual channel, not a real dual-head configuration. In dual channel mode there is one continuous desktop so the dialog windows appear in the middle of it - right where the desktop splits. Lame, Just another reason why I'm getting rid of my DCD. The DCD issue is very annoying, ...

Re: Firefox3 rebuild

A little late, but you have my endorsement for -current, with some very minor caveats: First, this Firefox is an improvement over the previous releases as it does not exhibit the ~hourly crashes I would routinely experience with the previous build. As for speed, I haven't conducted any specific test...

Re: sdlmame 0.149 sent to /incoming. Need testers/feedback.

would also like to see this added to the Nekoware collection. It's a great piece of software. So please don't give up on it. I haven't given up -- but I *really* want to get the Mplayer 1.1.1 out the door. I've promised this for like eight months. S*it -- I'd love to do a new XMAME/MESS package, an...

Re: New package: Updated MPlayer

Just an update on this, and sorry for jurking you guyz around :? . I just haven't had the time I had back in Jan. That said, I'm *really* going to try to get something out by the end of the weekend, and I have been working on this diligently. I'm not going to make any performance claims, but I'm goi...

Re: Firefox3 rebuild

We don't have any support of antialiasing in our hardware, cairo and xrender have to calculate this on your main cpu. I am quite sure your Matrox Millennium can do this in hardware. I'd be shocked as the Millennium I is 1995/6 vintage HW (the M II came out around 97 IIRC). I guess VPro isn't much y...

Re: EBAY: Rare Crimson For Sale

I'd actually consider that, but as mentioned my power supply doesn't currently work.

Are there any available schematics for this PSU?
Does your machine have intact skins?

Re: Firefox3 rebuild

gtk2 is so damn slow everywhere Yeah, kinda, but it's *really* bad on SGI. I have a 200MHz PentiumPro sh*tbox with a Matrox Millennium I (remember that thing -- it pre-dates the incorporation of 3Dfx by three years...). This system will slap my 2x600 Octane left and right running GTK2 apps. Somethi...

Re: EBAY: Rare Crimson For Sale

You guys that have these machines -- would you consider trading a NeXTCube Turbo w/Dimension for a Crimson (I'd drive down to make the xchange -- anywhere in the US).

Re: sdlmame 0.149 sent to /incoming. Need testers/feedback.

out of pure curiosity, how does one do that specifically? I would love to learn more about the particular details since I am trying to tackle an older mame build at the moment with the hope of moving up to a more recent release in the near future

Shoot me a PM -- I think we can make this happen.

Re: sdlmame 0.149 sent to /incoming. Need testers/feedback.

unfortunately it seems to segmentation fault on neogeo and CPS1-3 games, not sure if there is something that can be done about that at this point... While this is a "complete" MAME, alot of the systems will segfault due to endinaness issues that need to be manually corrected on a case-by-...

Re: sdlmame 0.149 sent to /incoming. Need testers/feedback.

wait wait, you had a complete working mame .149 or just the coleco mess binary that was found? The last MAME I sent to /incomming was the whole .149 shebang built under MIPSpro -- the Coleco target was a test build, but was obsoleted by the former. It was the most recent MAME archive available @ th...

Re: sdlmame 0.149 sent to /incoming. Need testers/feedback.

what a pity. you just threw away a 2 week's work?

I sure did, and that was dumb... But I didn't get any feedback on this, up until two days ago (year and 1/2 after the first post)....

Well, I guess the binary has been found if anyone wants to play with it....

Sorry guys...
