Re: Plugger 5.1.3

Give 'er a shot, let me know if it works. Setting it up is kind of goofy but the page mentioned has some docks. It loads and lists 141 MIME types, but only BMP and JPG are actually working for me in testing grounds . I'm checking the installed libraries and pluggerrc to see if there is something wr...

Re: Plugger 5.1.3

Yikes. The spirit of the Wreck of the Grassy Snood must have come over me  Well, I should have been more specific. You could not hit more exactly on the nail. In past June 29 our building went up in flames completely. And let me say, I'm not being creative. Literally. Our family house and of...

Re: Plugger 5.1.3

Let's not, and say we did :D Only if you remember highs and lows of MIPSPRO life, which is not my case anymore... At least that way there's a record at the 'chan for other people. Probably; but at least for my actual setup, conditions are still not right-out-the-box when using MIPSPRO... :) cc -o p...

Plugger 5.1.3

Let's try first with GCC: pwd /UserRoot/plugger-5.1.3 ./configure --x-include=/usr/bin/X11 checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... no checking for suffix of executables... checking...

Re: beta test: firefox3.0.19

I have no idea about gnash - it seems like most gnu projects, the children got bored with it and gave up - :) but I found the latest version of plugger, built it and installed. That works for a lot of helper applications. MPlayer, xpdf and some others work that I know of. Good point, Hamei. I was n...

Re: beta test: firefox3.0.19

Works fine with IP30 / IRIX 6.5.30m, and it looks faster than FF2.

Now, I know maybe this is a dumb question because things like API recent changes and/or things like that... but... -anyone knows if it could be persuaded to work along with the NekoWare GNash?

All the best,
Diego

Re: ...How To Clean Up CAD Blue-Prints To Print Out?

I had a spare hour this evening and found I allready had the main components on this laptop, so put togther a stripped down installation (no printing, not many fonts, but OpenVector, OpenGrid, Pipedream4 and Fireworkz to try out) which zips to 8MB. Thank you in advance! I'll let you know the parame...

Re: ...How To Clean Up CAD Blue-Prints To Print Out?

Hi there! I'm on holiday next week but will have wifi so a decent chance it will get done as relaxation. I'll see how small a file can give you a meaningful system, as I've nowhere to host it for download/FTP at the moment (the downside of a budget broadband deal!). No problem, and thanks in advance...

Re: ...How To Clean Up CAD Blue-Prints To Print Out?

That's no excuse! :-) I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave earlier (as the English say in Parliament!) http://forums.nekochan.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16720269&start=60#p7350448 Touché! But yes, as you pointed up very well, I'm not too active in Nekochan since a good chunk ...

Re: ...How To Clean Up CAD Blue-Prints To Print Out?

Some wise man once said if you can not make them just fake them. Below is a quick example to demonstrate adding lighteffects later. (Image used is the iconic ArtWorks/Xara Midget.) And it looks great! ...anyways, no RISC OS around to try the apps your using. I would say I'm used to FreeCAD, but it ...

Re: ...How To Clean Up CAD Blue-Prints To Print Out?

This was drawn in ProCAD+ and saved in Acorns Draw vector format. It was then dropped in ArtWorks and just saved there in Artworks vector format to get smoother image because antialiasing. Finally the Artworks file was dropped to compo for some cheap effects, basically white sphere composited on to...

Re: ...How To Clean Up CAD Blue-Prints To Print Out?

Another phone. This is actually made from my own phone without reference picture, so not 100% accurate but pretty close I would say. Comes straight from a CAD program without any fancy shading and just light+shadow added in Compo. (Screenshot of Android was taken from internet and was the first pic...

Re: Firefox 10 Porting Progress

As it stands, I don't currently have an IRIX box or access to a machine to do any porting work so it as, at best, on ice :-/. Hey there! ...well, if you think it is usable to continue with the development, I can setup an account for you on my Octane. Of course it is not the fastest gun around... :o...

Re: Firefox 10 Porting Progress

Since I've started to follow this post I'm getting more and more hooked with IRIX again. If there is a new tarball available, and if it help, I guess I could try some quick tests here with IP30. Good luck with the port.

Diego

Re: LCDs on SGIs

Depending on your monitor it might prove to be a tight fit. You might also want to obtain EDID info for your monitor - it might prove to be helpful. Hello there! ...and thanks in advance for the insights. There was a limited time offer at some local shop for a few LCD units from three different bra...
