Re: Best workstation to start with?

Yeah an o2 with no reserve just sold on ebay last week. It was at like $15 last i checked but... it probably got up to at least $100. Still it was one of the slowest configurations. There are a few $150 ones on ebay but also the slower 180mhz r5k setups. I'm partial to the r12k o2s because they stil...

SGI website using way back machine.

https://web.archive.org/web/19981212032 ... gi.com:80/

Accidentally stumbled on the web archive today and tried SGI.com

Then ran it back to 1996 and went forward.

It was called SGI surf back at the beginning?

Re: Nicest Tezro I've seen on (EBAY) plus more (not mine)

Yeah I thought it would sell before I could be ready to buy. Ah well, no worries. I would start those Maya/Softimage tuts but I still need to get Perl successfully installed on my o2 because the desktop capture program I am trying to install wont install because it says it is missing perl. I have a ...

So I'll just have to cross my fingers. Though I imagine someone will get it before me. There i...

Re: Mint Condition SGI Indy R5000 Case + Chassis x 2

Are you saying you are selling the Octane and Fuel? What is the serial number on the back on the Octane? Looks like this.... CMNB015ANF250 Usually the last three numbers indicate the processor/s (250MHZ) inside. At least I think thats how it goes. I have been looking to get an Octane but haven't fou...

Re: Nicest Tezro I've seen on (EBAY) plus more (not mine)

DOH, I should have looked at the seller name and connected it to Mopar 5150. I don't think I could afford the Tezro right now. But hey, maybe it'll be up for a while and I can snag it.

Maybe the Octane is a render node for the Tezro. ;)

Ian might have the o2+ skins available.

Did you check his "Ian's SGI depot" site?

Re: Next Project Machine?

If going by the serial number there are two 195 mhz procs in it. Not bad at all for a $150 price point.

Re: Let's check your depth buffer precision!

This could be the a classic Maya z-fighting display bug that is simply due to the default camera clip settings. Depends on default scene scale. I'll test tonight. I bet I can get your settings to make it go away. This is something that has never really been solved due to it not being a true bug per ...

Re: Connecting to nekochan repository?

Ok, so I jumped back into this tonight. Apologies in advance. I think I am going to have to trouble shoot this from scratch because I honestly think that I haven't really achieved anything successful in trying to solve this. Since I am quite newbie in Irix and only getting by with my general knowled...
