I had a 540 some years back, very nice machine, but iirc, the Linux was flaky and had no desktop gui. Wished I'd kept the case though.

Talking of MLA's has anyone run a 1600sw with MLA from a VBOB (OCTANE) ? I'm aware that the combination works without the VBOB.

Well thanks to a borrowed serial lead from chicaneuk (thanks chicaneuk, will return it asap) I know have access to my old INDY that has been in the loft at my Ex's for (guessing) over 10 years now). It won't boot because it can't find a partition.. is SCSI ID 2 the default????????????? #############...

So I went to PC World today to get a powered USB hub so I could fire up an iPhone with battery issues.. I walk out with one of those and a fscking super duper super wide LG monitor capable of 2560x1080. I did think for a single moment that my Octane would be so cool running this.. but no.. still it'...

I myself have won a collection of CRT screens for out from my VBOB (1 out of 8 should work eek) for £10.. seller states there is some computer stuff there also. I wonder what goodies await me..
