Re: [WTB UK]: Octane Dual 300+, 2GB, 15K Disk

See my post above and do a forum search, don't think you'll get a V6/V8 to do 1600x1200 @ 60hz due to pixel clock bug. You'll need to go to v10/v12 or run Mgras with texture ram if you want texturing. I'm in the kitchen cooking so could be wrong, others can verify:) Ah righto, I got confused by the...

Re: [WTB UK]: Octane Dual 300+, 2GB, 15K Disk

One of the machines had another V[x] board in it, but I can't recall what it was, JacquesT will know, but I recall that worked fine also. V8 :D did you run it at 1600x1200_60 as I don't think that would work with a V8. Unless it was the SSI I picked up from you? I don't know now, I thought it did b...

Re: [WTB UK]: Octane Dual 300+, 2GB, 15K Disk

I have four of these monitors plus the 27inch version (I love them). One of my Octanes has an EMXI board with Digital Video option board connected to it. This works fine at 1600x1200_60. As do my other two Octanes that have V12. One of the machines had another V[x] board in it, but I can't recall wh...

Re: WTB Softimage|3D 4.0 Manuals

Reason I ask.. Inside SOFTIMAGE 3D by Anthony Rossano is a good book. Seems to be the recommended read and still easily available. I disagree. I bought SI¦3D 4.0 back when I was working on an Octane and instead of proper manuals it came with that book. It was godawful - tons of typos, workflows cop...

Re: 'new' O2 - no image on monior

You would get some output on the VGA I am sure..

I once had the confidence that an o2 could display an output on a toaster.. I was incorrect and duly shown my way..

Re: Tezro start up - stuck on PROM BOOTING

Have temp put low low spec Tezro by the side, as I am pretty sure it's the IO9..

But fear not.. the Tezro is still productive..

I suppose yes, but when you have another Tezro with a higher spec called 'the higher spec machine' it leaves little movement for the other not being called 'the lower spec machine'

Re: Tezro start up - stuck on PROM BOOTING

Last night I fired up the machine without the IO9 and it went through and reached the PROM.. It sort of says the IO9 is at fault and that I should just disregard the part were I swapped the IO9 out with a working machine and it passed the tests, I must have imagined doing that. If I did, it must be ...

Re: The Problem with Apple

I used to like apricots, especially the MCA machines.

But, I did like apple, but not a fan now, around the 2007 - 2011 sort of era, I thought the OS was fine as was the hardware.
