One more question. The ebay add states there are two 18gig drives. I am not real familiar with Octanes, but shouldn't one of the other two drive bays have the blank cover replaced with a vented drive sled cover? Or am I getting these mixed up with the Origin drive sleds? Please note this seller reu...

Re: Vpro V6

Looking for a V6... :) willing to pay circa $120 + shipping... if anyone has one spare, let me know... :) In case you haven't already noticed, there is one that was listed this morning on eBay for $150. Nope, it doesn't. You'll need a V10 or a V12 for 1280 x 1024 @ 75Hz. For a list of supported resolutions for VPro, you can refer to this link http://www.sgi.com/products/remarketed/ ... tions.html

Re: SI TRAM

SECOND! vtech, is VPro V6 not an option? $118 for a TRAM vs. $150 for a V6 on ebay would make me think twice... uni-XM - you make an EXCELLENT point, but v-tech had his heart set on a TRAM for his SI board. digitalpioneer, you never answered why you hijacked my avatar and impaled tux? FIRST ! ... make sure you don't get the 37MHz TRAM as this is for SE/SSE/MXE graphics.

If you find no donors, I see that http://www.reputable.com has it currently listed for $118 - this would get you one TRAM for an SI board.

Good luck.

I much prefer the idea of painting ones room to match the Octane, rather than the opposite. The hideous practice of defacing the Octane as someone has elected to do and market the results on eBay is just wrong IMHO.

Let's see more room color changes in the future !

Thanks for your inputs - I'm starting to believe it is hardware related and not a patch; I did search the Supportfolio - but based on the patch descriptions I wasn't able to discern any that might help. I did some more research and found similar situations were the hardware was suspect and no mentio...

Octane SE - 6.5.23m - Icon catalog error

Greetings ! I'm wrestling with a rather annoying problem and I'm hoping someone has experienced and conquered this one. It's a repeatable problem with browsing the Icon Catalog. I'm fine running apps (photoshop, firefox, gaim, etc.) and windows (winterm, console) but shortly after I open the Icon Ca...
