Re: [FR Sold] Indigo R4K

Finally, I have find time to reseat all the parts and to start the machine (many of the things were out of their positions after the transport). It's surprisingly fast! It don't feel as a slower machine than my 175 MHz Indy. And the 1024x768 resolution is not that bad, too. Well, now I have both gen...

Re: your latest purchase

The Elektronika MK-90 Soviet portable computer.
Well, this particular one was manufactured in 1996 so it's not Soviet but it's Belarussian.

Re: What extremely rare (non-prototype) computers do you wish you could find?

The Palm Foleo, the Kyocera QCP-6035 and the Siemens-Nixdorf's variation of the Indy.

And yes, the CM-2 would be nice for me, too ;-)

Two new things: the Silicon Graphics Indy Presenter (1024 - butunfortunatale it doesn't work: it is detected correctly by the "hinv" command but screen is black for all times...) and the Bar Code Reader for the PSION Organiser II (http://archive.psion2.org/org2/barman.htm - and this thing ...

The PalmPilot Professional https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PalmPilot_Professional. Without the batteries cover, without the stylus. But it works and there are no problems with touchscreen. And I have old cradle to sync it with my SGI(s) :D

Re: MuPDF-x11 1.10a PDF/XPS/EPUB/CBZ viewer

Many thanks! It's so fast (even on my 250 MHz R10k O2)!

It crashed just on one of my PDFs - but the XPdf was unable to open this particular PDF at all...

Re: Broken CD drive in O2, cause of massive sys slowdown?

The door problem is caused by the failure of a plastic part in the drive. It seems every O2 eventually develops this problem. So the problem is in the drive itself? Not it the added plastic parts (the blue one) or so? I noticed that the drive opens randomly, too. But only if there is no CD loaded. ...

Re: DOSBox performance

Isn't the DOSbox slow by design? Even on the PC-compatible computers? If I remember correctly it was very slow on my 1+ GHz AMD Athlon, too. And yes, it is not fast on my O2 (R10k/250). ;-)

Re: Siemens Nixdorf RW 320 (Indigo R3k)

Hello escimo, So you outbid me once in the auction for the RW320 from austria! Not really. ;) I got this machine this summer from the local http://aukro.cz auction server (http://aukro.cz/show_item.php?item=6434963370). So it's previous owner outbid you. It's in good hands, isn't it?! ;-) Surely! Ch...

Many thanks! I use the 5.3 version on my IRIS Indigo (R3k) and it work well.
The version for 6.5 is nice, too (O2 R10k/250, IRIX 6.5.27).
