Dear lord. No wonder they fail so much.

Yeah that seemed kinda odd. It's the first time I've ever paid attention as to what brand it was.

Fuel PSU part numbers.

My Fuel hasn't been powered up for about a month, but it always stays plugged in. Right now it's not turning on, there's no light or fan activity, and nothing is showing up in the terminal. I do have a pair of router boards from an Origin 2100 parts machine. What I don't have is the craylink module plug thingy that connects them together.

Re: Rubber feet (now goo)

Goo Gone works quite well, but it leaves a greasy residue behind which requires some rubbing alcohol to get rid of. As for the feet... Any hardware store should have different sizes available. I've been using the teflon discs as of late for replacing feet. They're on my Fuel, SunBlade, etc. Quite ha...

Re: Nokia E71 vs. Blackberry Bold 9700

I've had a 9700 since February. Apps are non existent, the camera sucks, 3G speeds are up and down depending upon how the network (AT&T) is feeling that day, the battery life seems to fluctuate between really good and really crappy, and I have to factory reset it about once a month. The only goo...

Re: Onyx2 or Onyx 3000

Do you have that at home?! Yes. One in the basement (eventually two), and the other four in the garage. Holy shit. Though... I can't help but wonder how one rack worth of that would do against my 40-core "Peecee" cluster. in all its 2.4kW glory. Guess it really depends on application. You...

Re: Onyx2 or Onyx 3000

I have a NetApp cabinet in the garage I could use (as a last resort) in case I never get an SGI cabinet. I've got 3 racks available... Empty if need be. Plus PDU's, plastics, etc. Kansas City is just around the corner from Wisconsin. :D http://www.invalidnormalarray.com/origin3800_1/images/013_jpg....
