What's the best way to handle external disks?

I've got a Macbook Pro with a 200GB hard disk and 2 1TB WD MyBook Studio dealies. One is for time machine, the other is for music/movies/pictures/downloads/etc. My question is, what is the most graceful way to hook up my various home folders (music/movies/documents/etc.) to their corresponding folde...

Re: Wrong O2 1600sw Adaptor?

There are 3 video option boards for the O2:

1. The dual display adapter.
2. The SW1600 flat panel adapter.
3. The Presenter flat panel adapter.

You have #3.

Re: What next?

Thanks for all the great suggestions on software, it's really helped to get my feet wet. I'll add a couple to the list of must-haves: Unison Transmission Colloquy EyeTV - My mac is now my tv+tivo, with support to dump shows to my iphone! gSync - Finally have gcal<->ical<->iphone 3 way sync! Handbrak...

Re: Personal Finance Software ...

Well I give up. It looks like there's nothing that will do what I want besides quicken. Though I have to say I'm surprised at the number of open source and indie developed applications floating around out there, too bad none of them stack up. So I'm stuck dual booting/running fusion for the time bei...

Personal Finance Software ...

I've been using Quicken Home and Business and other than some general bugginess and a mediocre interface it works well. I've done some reading and apparently Quicken for Mac is terrible (and so is Quick Books for Mac). Has anyone found a decent personal finance software package for Mac? I need the b...

Hey Neko, how do you change the drive icons? The pic of the hard disk is kind of depressing.

What next?

Well I just took the dive and bought my first Mac. It's a 17" MacBook Pro with all the specs maxed (all of them!). I'm taking it to China for business but it will also become my main computer (sorry Onyx2). Anyway, I've installed a few things so far, Parallels, NeoOffice, Joost, Firefox and Thu...

Re: What's an Orgin 2100 server and 12 drive raid worth?

It might be worth $500 if the skins are *perfect*. It seems pretty low spec. Otherwise I'd say the value is more like a couple hundred if you can find a local buyer.

The TP9400 might be worth more than the Origin, it's a neat little array.

Re: New (old) direction?

I see no problem with their early rebirth systems being PC-based. Remember how SGI started off in the first place? They made monitors. ? Umm the company was formed based on research at Stanford dealing with custom graphics ASICs ... Geometry Engines. Their first products were graphics terminals tha...

Re: Lots of Onyx one & Onyx2 gear for sale

Sounds like you've got 2 RM10s for sale? Also, would you happen to know if the 300MHz node board is compatible with 400MHz HIMMs?
