On the subject of O2 reliability - I don't know if my experience was typical, but I went through a lot of issues with my first O2 back in the late 90s. Keep in mind, I bought it directly from SGI as a Remanufactured unit. It was an R10K 250MHz with 512MB RAM, 9GB 10k rpm system drive, AV1 video opti...

Fair enough. It's probably just another poor abused eBay SGI with a checkered past. At least it isn't an O2 shell with a PeeCee stuck in it...

I'm betting it was pulled out of some type of embedded system, like a Weather Channel box or some medical device... It doesn't appear to have a CDROM drive on top, either.

Upper-management however didn't green-light the new project, and generally things at SGI continued to go from bad to worse. Shortly after the project was rejected, the desktop group itself was axed. And look at how well everything worked out... The great injustice is that the very people who run on...

An interactive seat is around $7500 Aud Have you had the chance to play on a seat of NUKE zolotroph? If so what were your thoughts? Timberoz>Craig I haven't had a chance to play with Nuke, but I've read a little about it. It seems like the best of Shake and Combustion plus some of the goodies from ...

Re: copyright

It's "pay no attention" and "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" here for a reason - copyright violations can get nekochan shut down very fast, also I wouldn't recommend bragging about using unlicensed software in a public forum, just like I wouldn't recommend discussing b...

Re: New Boxx

Lets hope that they get it right the 2nd time around the 320's & 540's had the potential to be unstoppable, it's a shame the gave up before the crossed the line with development. That is why the Visual workstations sucked, so much was unsupported. Onboard firewire, USB quirks. Sound like every ...

Re: SGI cuddles up to BOXX

http://uk.theinquirer.net/?article=33440 '...SGI for the new Quadro Plex 1000 series from nVIDIA...' AvS I don't get it. What can SGI offer that BOXX can't already? What could possibly differentiate SGI's PC workstations from other vendors other than a price premium? Nobody in the PC world gives a ...

very nice. however as much as i like (or not mind :D ) the design, it seems quite large. if i was going for one of these, somehow i'd prefer the rackmount version. looking at the fans on the back, i'm wondering how noisy those tezro's might be? They have been described as being quieter than Octanes...

FA: Tezro on eBay

http://tinyurl.com/p9x6p

Is this the first Tezro on eBay?

This looks like a dual 700MHz R16K.
