It shows up as a single device.

I used a VideoRAID SCSI 4/160 on an O2 (R10K/250) for two years with no problems whatsoever.

Re: fuel v10/12 + multilink + 1600SW - does it work, final w

I've read many of the various postings on USENET, the Web and on nekochan and the reports are unclear as to whether the 1600SW can be made to display high-quality wide screen 1600x1024 using a V10/12 and the multilink. Can anybody confirm if it is in fact true? I can only speak for myself - I am no...

Ciprico 7000 update

Well, I finally got around to buying some SCSI drives to put into my Ciprico 7000s. All I can say is... WOW. The 7000 is a really sweet RAID unit. The only downside is that it's limited to the 1Gb Fibre Channel interface in terms of throughput. But everything else... Incredible. First of all, it loo...

IF this is for real, WHY?!!?? How can SGI expect to make any money by slapping thier logo and purple plastics on a bog-standard PeeCee? What are they offering that other PeeCee vendors aren't offering at a much lower price? The only advantage I can see is if some large company or government organiz...

How can one tell? And if it's not set, how does one change the setting? Is it a kernel systune parameter? Nope. Do fx -x, choose the disk in question and choose [l]abel, [sh]ow, [para]meters. To change values, do [l]abel, [s]et, [para]meters. Using this method, you can change various disk behaviors...

Are you aware of an IRIX driver for said PC graphics card? I think it's pretty unlikely that an Octane would know what to do with a PC graphics card in one of its PCI slots...

Re: Thanks

Is there built in adapters for the 1600sw for any other SGI:s? Nope, only the O2. Maybe for the Octane? Or where you suposed to use the multilink for that? No one has been successful getting the 1600SW to work on Octane, even with the Multilink. It works on Octane2 V12 with the dual channel DVI boa...
