Re: Bought a mint condition o2.

Congratulations on getting your hands on a real beauty. For that Jurassic Park itch, look up the FSN program; it should be floating around on the web still.

Re: Quake II questions on O2

You don't need to change any X resources, just put set _windowed_mouse "1" into your baseq2/config.cfg and it'll automatically grab your mouse pointer.

Re: Smartphones

Since this became a name-your-phones-a-thon, here's a mostly complete list (as far as I can recall): ⋅ Nokia 8110 ⋅ Nokia 8110i ⋅ Nokia 7110 ⋅ Nokia 8210 ⋅ Nokia 6110i ⋅ Motorola Razr ⋅ HTC Hero (rooted and modded) ⋅ HTC...

Re: For Swedish members, primarily

I'm not Swedish, but I've been to Sergel's Torg. It's a "sunken" plaza with white triangles on the ground, quite famous.

I don't recall the 20D11 having a remote? There's white buttons on the front for settings.

Re: tape tar help needed.

The O flag tells tar to expect old style archives (this is true for IRIX and BSD tar, keep in mind that one tar is not always like another, so YMMV), what's more using the verbose flag would (if it worked) put extracted pathnames interspersed with the data you're extracting, not particularily useful...

Re: Crossover cable help needed.

Also note that any modern (optional for 100baseT and required for 1000baseT adapters) support auto MDI-X and any cable will work. Your linux machine most likely supports this and you won't need to make/buy a special cable.
