yes, afaik its possible. There's one major problem with going dual head on VPro though: the graphics boards are twice as thick as the old mgras ones, so they come with a complete new XIO carrier called TriModule with only 3 XIO slots instead of one, see: http://techpubs.sgi.com/library/dynaweb_docs...

Hi Assram (?), no pun intented but if you had read the article completely you would have noticed that the new processor doesn't emit much more heat compared to the old one. Joe, you mentioned the prices for R12K processor. What is needed to find out if an R14K could be fited ? Dual R12K 300Mhz cann ...

Keep in mind that mostly it runs in lowspeed mode. Fortunately mine has never kicked on the fast fan mode (but could of course way more silent)

I'd like to ask you to stop it, I would rather find it a big pitty if people like chicago joe would stop reporting about those interesting mods.

I spoke to PMC-Sierra this week and they have told me they are ready to start sampling a 900MHz version of this chip to their larger customers in the next few weeks. :shock: I am working on trying to get one to test, but that may be a long shot.
