i only had like 3 deps for gnutls... but i have a good lot of freeware and the g2office early nekoware installed. all i appeared to need were: libgcrypt libgpg-error opencdk and of course: pkgconfig i just did the most basic "./configure && make && make install" type compile.

oh man. i had forgotten about amsn it's still around, huh? cool Gaim is a major pain in the ass due to the insistence of the authors that the way they release it (under GPL) precludes them from using OpenSSL for SSL connectivity. that explains a lot. idiots. Getting SSL to work is a major undertakin...

Can we work together to build it to the Nekoware/beta format? i'd love to help, but it was done with gcc. and needs gnutls (which in turn needs libgcrypt, libgpgerror, opencdk and to get that all to play nice with configure, pkgconfig... tho not after compilation i assume) i thought the nekoware th...

i managed to make Gaim 0.79 compile using gcc i used gnutls as the ssl library, once all the dependencies for *that* were installed i set about compiling gaim. problem was, even though i had the gnutls libs installed, configure always reported that i did not. so i just took a punt and edited ./confi...

I would definitely prefer a dual R10K 250 2MB to a single R12K 300 (actually, for my applications, I would definitely prefer it to an R12K 360).

so what kinds of things would be faster on a dual r10k 250 vs. a single r12k 300?

i never bother remembering which pin is the culprit.

if the monitor can do sync-on-green then just rip out all the 'little' pins on the 13w3 side and just leave the 3 main (rgb) coax lookin ones.

SamsungSyncMaster 710v - 17" lcd (actually, in my case.. 2x) these babies do sync-on-green. i bought 2 of these for my Octane dual head (MXI+SI) only adjustment i had to make outside the "auto" button was to move the picture down a ...

the foetz build of firefox got gtk1 is sweet on my r12k 300 octane. only slowdown is opening a new window, or starting up in the first place. so i tend to just leave one open all the time and use the tabbed browsing features. i never feel held back.
