Yes, indeed. The price is pushing it, but a 17U SGI rack would fit all of my goodies wonderfully.

I use Cacti and monit for monitoring and proactive recovery and a series of custom rrd graphs for some more esoteric monitoring that I handle. The network is comprised of Apple, SGI, Cisco and HP hardware.

Our newest Mac Pros at the office came with bluetooth keyboard and mouse sets... personally, I hate them. The Mighty Mouse is a particularly flaky piece, though the wired versions work just fine. I've never been much of a fan of Apple keyboards, though the new(er) white versions have a far better fe...

Mine was just a tad under $700, delivered.

4 hours is a generous estimate for an O2, if your benchmark is a single title DVD.

I was told order confirmation number and scheduled ship date is sent 24-48 hours after order is placed. Richard I didn't get either. I just got UPS arriving with a couple of boxes a few days later. Mine was shipped 2nd day air, if that means anything to anybody. However, I did not get tracking or o...

Regardless of the efficiency of keeping a local copy of nekoware around, I don't think this would be such a bad idea. It would provide one more way to make nekoware the be-all and end-all of free software for IRIX. Assuming, that is, that whatever file swmgr is looking for is easily enough created w...

Did everybody that ordered one of these get a conf # and an invoice? I was just going through old emails and realized I never got either so I am assuming they have a misspelled email. I eventually got one from a "Jenny" at SGI that had a little note: Sorry for the delay in getting you thi...

Nice rack. Wrong side of The Pond, unfortunately. I'd love to get my hands on one of those smaller racks.
